Epione is a factoring company providing services know as debtors discounting, invoices purchasing and debtors factoring. The process is really divided into two components: 

  • The tripartite agreement between the ultimate client, the transporter and the Epione. This agreement ensures both the client and the transporter are aware of how the facility works and how cash flows. 

  • The contract between the transporter and Epione. This agreement is to transparently and clearly outline to the transporter the risk matrix, fees and most importantly, the trigger events for fund releases. 

The basic flow of components to the transaction are as follows: 

  • The transporter provides Epione with documentation for the confirmation of loading for an approved client 

  •  Epione confirms the load with the client and releases funds to the transporter

  • On payment by the client to Epione of the final invoice Epione releases the balance to the transporter 

  • We can factor across modes of transport –sea, air or land (road and rail) 

  • We can factor across borders and continents 

  • The earning can be in various currencies, the invoice currency will have to be confirmed as part of the agreements and the disbursement currency may be a different more locally relevant currency to the operations of the transporter. 

  • Epione can facilitate ancillary services such as preferential insurance rates and security tracking and telematics services.
